Decision Summary (Facts, Holding & Outcome)

AI-structured

An individual appealed an official decision that required repayment of a sum in 50 installments of CHF 300.00, starting in June 2025, by requesting only that the due date for the first installment be postponed to the end of August 2025; since both the appellant and the opposing administrative body subsequently agreed to this modification, the court granted the appeal, reasoning that because the parties had reached a consensus on the factual and legal situation, and the court's jurisdiction was limited to reviewing legal violations, the agreed-upon postponement of the first payment date was appropriate, resulting in a cost-free decision without awarding party compensation.

Verwaltungsgericht des Kantons Bern Sozialversicherungsrechtliche Abteilung

Urteil des Einzelrichters vom 23. Juni 2025

Verwaltungsrichter Knapp Gerichtsschreiberin Baumann

A.________ Beschwerdeführer

gegen

Sozialdirektion B.________ Beschwerdegegnerin

Regierungsstatthalterin des Verwaltungskreises Emmental Amthaus, Dorfstrasse 21, 3550 Langnau im Emmental Vorinstanz

betreffend Entscheid des Stv. Regierungsstatthalters des Verwaltungs- kreises Emmental vom 14. April 2025 (vbv 4/2024) Urteil des Verwaltungsgerichts des Kantons Bern vom 23. Juni 2025, SH 200 2025 284
