AN ACT further /0 amend the Machine-made Cigarmes (Excise Duty)

ACI. Cap_ 57.

BE IT ENACfED by the President, by and with the advK:e and

consent of Ihe House of Representatives. in this present Parliament

assembled. alld by the authority oflhe ~ame, as follQws,-

J. (I) This Act may be cited as the Machine-made Cigarettes

(Excise [luty) (Amendment) Act, 1991. and ~hall be read andconslrued

as onc with the Machine-made Cigarettes (Excise Duty) Act.

hereinafter referred 10 as" the principal Act".

(2) This Act shall be deemed \0 have come into force on the

5th December, 1990.

In subsection (i) of section 3 o f the principal Act. for the words

"five cents" there shall be substituted the words "eight ce nts five mil~".

J . In subsection (l)ofscction 5 of the principal Act, for the words

"five cems·'there ~hall be substituted the words ··eight cents five mils··
