BE IT ENI\ CfED by the President . by and with the advice and

consen t of Ihe House of Representatives, in this present Parliament

a,<;e mbled. and by the au thority of ,he same. as follows:-

I. This Act maybe ci ted as the Ci"il Aviation (Amertdment) Act. Sho<. "'ie.

Section 15A ofthc principal Act shall be amended as fol1ows: -

(a) forthe words "!;ection 37C. subsection (I)ofscction 37D .

sections 38. 39. 41. 42 , 44. 45, 45A. 46. 47. 48 and 49 o f the

Merchant Shipping Act. lm. in !iO far as they relate 10 the

mortgage of a ship" there shall be substituted tile words "sections

37 A to 541\. botll inclusive. of the Mercllant Shipping Act . 1973. in

necessary" there shall be insened the "'ords " including, but

in Ihe said sections of the said Act. reference is made to registrar

Director o f Civil A viat ion and to aircraft respectively" .

The amendments effcx:ted lothe principal Act by paragraph (b)

of sect ion 2 of this Act shall be deemed to ha''C come into force on the

coming into force of the Civi l A "ialion (Amendme nt) Act. 1979; and the "'01 XXXII
