Federal Supreme Court Decision on Inadmissibility Due to Abusive Submission The appellant challenged a non-admission decision by a Cantonal High Court, specifically in a case concerning the non-assumption of a criminal complaint. In his submission to the Federal Supreme Court, the appellant stated at the outset that there was no need to address the "chatter" of the High Court President and that the court's decision would therefore be forwarded to the Federal Supreme Court unread. The Federal Supreme Court ruled that such a submission is abusive under Article 42 para. 7 of the Federal Supreme Court Act (BGG) and is therefore inadmissible. Consequently, the court did not enter into the merits of the appeal, rejected the appellant's request for pro bono legal aid on the grounds that the appeal was devoid of any prospect of success, and imposed court costs of CHF 800 on the appellant.

Urteil vom 3. März 2014

Strafrechtliche Abteilung

Besetzung

Bundesrichter Mathys, Präsident,

Gerichtsschreiber C. Monn.

Verfahrensbeteiligte

X.________,

Beschwerdeführer,

*gegen*

*Oberstaatsanwaltschaft des Kantons Zürich* , Florhofgasse 2, 8001 Zürich,

Beschwerdegegnerin.

Gegenstand

Nichtanhandnahme,

Beschwerde gegen den Beschluss des Obergerichts des Kantons Zürich, III. Strafkammer, vom 6. Januar 2014.

Der Präsident zieht in Erwägung:

1.

4.

Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Zürich, III. Strafkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
