Decree Ordering the Ringing of Bells to Celebrate the Anniversary of the Foundation of the Swiss Confederation on 1 August (AClo) (ACLO)

1. On the 1st of August each year, bells shall be rung in all the municipalities of the canton from 8:30 to 8:45 in the evening to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the Confederation in 1291.

1. The prefects, and through them the municipalities, are responsible for the execution of this decree from and including August 1, 1899. It shall be printed, posted, and published in the Official Gazette.
