Regulation concerning fees for services of the Statistical Office

This Regulation governs the fees for statistical services provided by the Statistical Office (hereinafter referred to as the Office), which include

a) the provision of statistical results and data in the form of paper-based publications;

b) the processing of statistical results according to specific and/or detailed requirements;

c) the execution of special analyses and research;

d) expert opinions and in-depth consulting services.

Fees

1 The services listed in Article 1 are subject to the following fees

a) publications: prices are set by the Office and are available on the Office's website;

b) library services: fees are set by the Ticino Library System;

c) research, processing, analysis, and in-depth consulting work: fees are calculated on an hourly basis according to the following parameters

– administrative staff: CHF 55.-

– scientific staff: CHF 100.-

2 If the fee for a service is owed by multiple persons, they are jointly and severally liable.

Expenses are considered to be the additional costs incurred for statistical services as per Art. 1 according to the following criteria

a) For photocopies and printouts, the costs are 0.20 francs per A4 page and 0.30 francs per A3 page. If the photocopies or printouts are made by Office staff, the working time as per Art. 2 lit. c) must be added.

b) For delivery costs, the tariffs applied by Swiss Post shall apply. For telecommunication costs, the tariffs applied by Swisscom shall apply.

1 The Office may proceed with the immediate collection of amounts related to services rendered.

2 In case of invoicing, the Office charges a minimum amount of 10 francs.

3 The Office informs the applicant in advance about the cost of each statistical service by preparing an estimate of the fees and expenses.

4 In justified cases, the Office may require an adequate advance payment.

Exemption and reduction of fees and expenses

Exemptions or reductions of taxes and fees are granted to individual users or groups of users as established in the annex.

The recipient of statistical data is obliged to cite the source when using them.

The Executive Decree concerning fees for the services of the Statistical Office of 1 April 1998 is repealed.
