§ 58 RSV - Mandatory Period — Mandatory Period
1. By participating in the costs of voluntary further education, the canton obligates the employee to remain in the service of the canton for a specific period or to repay the contribution in full or in part.
2. The obligation period begins after completion of further education. It depends on the amount of the canton's expenses
Canton's Expenses / Obligation Period
- up to CHF 5,000: none
- CHF 5,001 to CHF 15,000: 12 months
- CHF 15,001 to CHF 30,000: 24 months
- over CHF 30,000: 36 months
3. The canton's expenses are considered to be the costs according to § 56 paragraph 2. The costs for continued salary payments in the event of service absence are calculated based on the basic salary and any functional allowances.
4. The obligation period is interrupted by unpaid leave of more than 30 days.
5. Concurrent obligation periods are not permitted. If another cost participation by the canton is claimed during an existing obligation period, the new obligation period does not begin until the previous one has expired.
