§ 33 Ordinance on Legal Status (RSV) - Termination Due to Non-Re-Election

1. The employment relationship of employees elected for a term of office ends on the day the term expires if no re-election occurs.

2. If the Government Council or the Grand Council intends to abstain from re-election, they must inform the concerned employee in writing three months before the end of the term of office and provide reasons for their decision.

3. The decision to forego re-election must be communicated in writing to the Government Council, or in the case of individuals elected by the Grand Council, to the relevant department, taking into account the notice periods according to § 19.
