§ 56 Act on Voting and Election Rights (StWG) - Further Distribution
§ 56 StWG — Further Distribution
1. If not all seats are allocated after the first distribution, the remaining seats are assigned individually and successively as follows
1. The number of votes for each list is divided by the number of mandates already allocated to it, increased by one.
2. The next mandate is allocated to the list with the highest quotient.
3. If several lists have the same claim to the next mandate, it is given to the list that achieved the highest remainder in the division according to § 55 paragraph 2.
4. If several lists still have the same claim, the mandate goes to the list with the highest party vote number.
5. If several lists still have the same claim, the list that has the candidate with the highest number of votes eligible for election receives the next mandate.
2. This procedure is repeated until all mandates are allocated.
