§ 34 StWG — Decision by Lot
1. The draw decides in the following cases
1. several candidates receive the same number of votes for a single seat;
2. several candidates are simultaneously elected to a body to which they cannot belong simultaneously due to their degree of kinship;
3. several members of the government council are simultaneously elected to the federal assembly.
2. The affected candidates and the representative of the nomination proposal must be given the opportunity to attend the drawing of lots.
3. Before the drawing of lots, the competent authority inquires about any possible declarations of withdrawal.
4. The lot is drawn manually.
