Agreement between the Cantons of Zurich and Thurgau concerning the border municipality of Zurich-Wilen and Thurgau-Wilen

1. With regard to ecclesiastical matters, Wilen in Zurich remains incorporated into the parish of Neunforn as before; however, in matters of public assistance, the former locality is separated from the welfare community of Neunforn and assigned to the welfare association of the political municipality of Oberstammheim.

2. If deficits for the parish of Neunforn need to be covered through taxes, the amount is to be apportioned to the remaining part of the parish of Neunforn and Zurich's Wilen according to the number of souls and is to be paid by each part according to the relevant legal provisions. The tax quota due for Zurich's Wilen in this regard amounts to 1/14 of the total tax.

1. If an amicable agreement between the parties involved and the competent cantonal authorities cannot be reached regarding the allocation of the share attributable to Zürcherisch Wilen from the joint civil community property of Wilen and the poor fund of Neunforn, the Federal Court shall make the decision on the matter.

1. The Agreement shall remain in effect for six years, i.e., from January 1, 1887, to January 1, 1893. If no termination is given by the contracting parties six months before the expiry of this period, the Agreement shall be deemed tacitly extended until a termination occurs, in which case its validity shall expire six months from the date of termination.

1. The ratification by the Zurich Cantonal Council and the Thurgau Grand Council is reserved for this agreement.
