§ 97 Gesetz über die Organisation der Gemeinden und Bezirke (Gemeindeorganisationsgesetz, GOG), vom 25. Oktober 2017
2. Transitional Provisions
The following transitional provisions shall apply
a) In municipalities and districts where, at the time of the entry into force of this Law, the assembly system is applicable for substantive matters or elections, this system shall continue to apply until the electorate decides otherwise by ballot.
b) Section 65 of the Municipal Organisation Act of October 29, 1969, shall continue to apply to districts and municipalities until the enactment of new statutory provisions in the Financial Budget Act of January 27, 1994.
c) Special purpose associations shall amend their statutes to conform to the minimum requirements pursuant to Section 80 within five years of the entry into force of this Law.
