§ 185 Act on the Introduction of the Swiss Civil Code · III. Inventory by the Clerk 1. Register of the Deceased
1. Civil status officers must submit a register to the clerk at the beginning of each month
a) of the persons who died in their civil registration district in the previous month;
b) of the persons who died elsewhere but had their residence in the civil registration district at the time of their death.
2. The clerk compares this register with the registers and certificates received from the municipal president and instructs the latter as necessary to fulfill his duties.
