Decree on the accession to the agreement of 26 March 1828 for the organization of the Diocese of Basel (Diocese Concordat) (Bistumskonkordat)

1. The Government Council is authorized to execute the accession of the Canton of Schaffhausen to the Convention for the Organization of the Diocese of Basel dated March 26, 1828, and to address the matters related to this accession.

1. All rights and obligations arising from the Concordat for the canton, insofar as they do not necessarily have to be exercised by the government, are delegated to the Roman Catholic National Church.

1. It is noted that the Roman Catholic Church of the Canton of Schaffhausen has committed to assuming the rights and obligations arising from the concordat for the Canton of Schaffhausen, including all subsequent costs of the accession. The diocesan fund designated for this purpose is handed over to them.

1. This resolution, along with the text of the concordat and the additional agreements required for the canton to become a party, is to be published in the Official Gazette and incorporated into the cantonal legislative collection once they come into force.
