Art. premier Decree on the Adoption of the Modification of the Cantonal Boundary between the Cantons of Neuchâtel and Bern in the Bed of the Thielle River, Between Lakes Neuchâtel and Biel, and at La Cibourg, Municipality of La Chaux-de-Fonds, Dated March 27, 1995 Open official source

The canton of Neuchâtel transfers 26,300 m² to the territory of the canton of Bern in the Thielle canal, so that the cantonal boundary coincides in the section where it already was with the new axis of the Thielle canal resulting from the second correction of the Jura waters.

The Canton of Neuchâtel cedes to the territory of the Canton of Bern 60 m² at La Cibourg, municipality of La Chaux-de-Fonds, so that the cantonal boundary coincides with the western property boundary of the revised cantonal road.

1. This decree is subject to an optional referendum.

2. The Council of State shall provide for its promulgation and execution, if necessary.

Decree promulgated by the Council of State on May 22, 1995.

The entry into force is set with immediate effect.
