§ 31 Introductory Act to the Swiss Civil Code (EGZGB) - Child and Adult Protection Circles

1. Municipalities organize themselves into child and adult protection districts, each with its own child and adult protection authority.

2. A child and adult protection district encompasses the territory of one or more municipalities.

3. The cooperation of the municipalities is governed by the provisions of the Municipalities Act of May 4, 2004. The municipal council is responsible for definitively regulating cooperation with other municipalities within its own competence.
