1 The Department of Economic Affairs and Interior is responsible for

a.

the recognition of marriage and family counselling centers as well as

adoption matters in accordance with Article 15a of the Introductory Law to the Civil Code (EG ZGB);

b.

the supervision and ultimate oversight of foundations and further

measures under foundation law in accordance with Article 15c of the Introductory Law to the Civil Code (EG ZGB), insofar as these tasks are performed within the canton;

c.

the approval of the statutes of corporate bodies under cantonal

private law in accordance with Article 34 paragraph 2 of the Introductory Law to the Civil Code (EG ZGB);

d.

the supervision of the Child and Adult Protection Authority in accordance

with Article 63a letter b and Article 63e paragraph 2 of the Introductory Law to the Civil Code (EG ZGB), as well as

all tasks assigned to the competent department in the area of inheritance law and child and adult protection;

e.

the supervision of the Land Registry Office in accordance with Article 236 EG ZGB.

Civil Status and Citizenship Service

1 Competent Cantonal Authority for the Approval of Name Changes

in accordance with Article 15b paragraph 1 EG ZGB and for the filing of marriage invalidity

lawsuits, as well as lawsuits for the invalidity of registered partnerships

in accordance with Article 15b paragraph 3 EG ZGB is the Civil Status and Citizenship

Service.

Department of Construction and Environment and Main Department of Mobility and

Civil Engineering *

1 The competent department in the area of the obligation to maintain watercourses (Wuhrpflicht) and the keeping open of watercourses according to Articles 189 et seq. of the Implementing Act to the Civil Code (EG ZGB) is the Department of Construction and Environment. It performs all tasks assigned to the competent department in this area. In particular, it is the appeals body against corporate decisions according to Article 204 EG ZGB.

2 The competent cantonal administrative authority is the Main Department of Mobility and Civil Engineering. It performs all tasks assigned to the competent cantonal administrative authority in the area of the obligation to maintain watercourses and the keeping open of watercourses. *

2. Implementing Act to the Federal Act on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Persons Abroad

Department of Security and Justice and Main Division

Economy and Labor

1 The granting authority in accordance with Article 5 paragraph 1 of the Enforcement Act

to the Federal Act on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Persons Abroad

is the Main Division Economy and Labor.

2 The authority entitled to file an appeal or an action in accordance with Article 5 paragraph 3 of the

Enforcement Act to the Federal Act on the Acquisition of Real Estate by

Persons Abroad is the Department of Security and Justice.
