Statutory Text (6 Provisions)
1. Fees for the Inspection of Food and Consumer Goods are Levied Based on Effort Points.
1. The provisions of the fee schedule of the Association of Cantonal Chemists of Switzerland, Letter A as well as Letters B2 to B5, apply to technical investigations.
1. For the Field Service (Food Inspection Office) and for the Secretariat, the following rates apply
a) Inspections: Effort Points (EP)
1. For the first commenced hour Food Inspector: 80
2. For the first commenced hour Food Controller: 50
3. For each additional commenced 1/2 hour Food Inspector: 40
4. For each additional commenced 1/2 hour Food Controller: 25
b) Travel Allowance
1. Food Inspector: 30
2. Food Controller: 15
c) Individual Inspection Criteria Repeatedly Not in Compliance with "Good Practice": 50
d) Inspection Reports, Opinions, etc.: In the Office, per 1/2 hour
1. Food Inspector: 40
2. Food Controller: 25
e) Construction Applications
1. Assessment of Simple Construction Applications: 50
2. Assessment of Complex Construction Applications: according to effort
f) Photos: per photo: 2
g) Seizure: Effort Points according to Inspections item a
h) Sampling
1. Food Per Establishment, incl. Travel Allowance: 50
2. Drinking Water - Single Sample: 15
3. Drinking Water - Multiple Samples, Stage Controls, etc.: according to effort
i) Services, Building Approvals, etc.
1. Effort less than 1 hour (VGLek Art. 5 Para. 2): -
2. Effort greater than 1 hour, according to time effort, 1/2 hour Food Inspector: 40
3. Effort greater than 1 hour, according to time effort, 1/2 hour Food Controller: 25
k) Secretariat: per hour: 40
1. The value of an effort point amounts to CHF 1.90. The Department of Health and Social Affairs adjusts this value in consultation with the partner cantons in accordance with inflation (LIKP of 103.0 points, as of September 1995/Base May 1993 = 100).
1. The individual items for the technical examinations can be reviewed at the Cantonal Chemist and the Food Inspectorate of both Appenzells.
1. This Fee Schedule shall take effect immediately.
