Ordinance on the Compensation of the Members of the Board of Directors of the Appenzell Ausserrhoden Hospital Association - Types of Compensation
Statutory Text (5 Provisions)
1. The Hospital Association of Appenzell Ausserrhoden (SVAR) provides the following remunerations to the members of its Board of Directors
a) Annual remuneration;
b) Meeting fees;
c) Expenses.
2. The annual remuneration and meeting fees cover preparatory and follow-up activities.
3. The SVAR pays the annual remuneration for the member of the Board of Directors who belongs to the Government Council to the Canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden.
4. The lump sums for the annual remuneration and the meeting fees do not include expense reimbursements. These are compensated separately.
1. The SVAR shall provide an annual compensation as remuneration for the performance of duties assigned to the Board of Directors by the SVARG, acting as the supreme management and supervisory body of the SVAR.
2. The annual compensation is as follows
a) * for the President: CHF 45,000.-
b) * for the Vice President: CHF 24,000.-
c) * for the other members: CHF 18,000.-
3. An additional compensation of CHF 8,000.- per year is granted for chairing a permanent committee of the Board of Directors.
4. The compensations according to paragraph 2 and paragraph 3 shall be paid pro rata temporis if the office is held for a part of the year.
5. If a function is performed over a longer period by a deputy member, the Board of Directors may grant the deputy member a functional allowance for the corresponding period. This allowance shall not exceed CHF 21,000 per year.
1. The SVAR grants the members of the Board of Directors of the SVAR the following attendance fees for participating in meetings of the Board of Directors and its committees
a) Full day: CHF 1,000
b) Half day: CHF 500
2. The same rates apply when the Board of Directors participates, either in its entirety or as a delegation, in meetings or events conducted at the instigation of the Canton.
3. For multiple meetings in one day, a maximum of the rate for a full day will be granted.
4. These rates apply regardless of whether the meeting is conducted in person or as a teleconference or videoconference.
1. For expenses, Articles 6-10 of the Regulation on Compensation for Inconveniences, Expenses, On-call Duty, and Extraordinary Working Hours of November 20, 2007, and Article 12 of the Salary Ordinance of October 30, 2006, are applied accordingly.
2. The compensation amounts to
a) for travel using a private vehicle, 70 cents per kilometer;
b) for the use of public transportation, the cost of a 1st class ticket.
1. The annual report of the SVAR lists the functions of the members of the Board of Directors, the annual compensations, and the total amount of attendance fees received during the reporting year.
