Ordinance on Boat Master's Licenses (Schiffsführerausweisverordnung; SFAV) - Jurisdiction (SFAV)
Statutory Text (4 Provisions)
1. The Road Traffic Office is the competent authority in the sense of Art. 58 para. 3 BSG for the issuance and revocation of boat driver's licenses.
2. The administration of theoretical and practical examinations may be delegated to out-of-canton authorities or suitable private entities.
3. Agreements on cooperation with out-of-canton authorities or private entities require the approval of the Department of Internal Affairs and Security.
1. The following fees are charged for the issuance of shipmaster's licenses
a) Initial issuance: CHF 60.-
b) Duplicate: CHF 70.-
c) Amendment or supplement of a valid license: CHF 40.-
d) International certificate: CHF 40.-
1. The fees for theoretical and practical examinations are determined according to the applicable tariff of the executing agency.
2. For examinations conducted by the Road Traffic Office, the following fees are charged
a) Theory examination: CHF 30
b) Special examinations, based on effort: CHF 120 per hour
1. For additional official actions related to the issuance or revocation of shipmaster certificates, fees shall be charged in accordance with the provisions of the Administrative Procedure Law.
