2ter Generally, only the high-quality energy supplied to the building for space heating, hot water, ventilation, and air conditioning is included in the energy demand. Usage-dependent process energies are not included in the energy demand.

2quater Electricity from self-generated power is not included in the calculation of the weighted energy demand. Exceptions are electricity from CHP plants.

3. In buildings with mechanical ventilation systems, the effective energy demand for ventilation, including the energy demand for air transport, may be used in the calculation of the heating energy demand. The hygienically necessary outside air volume flow must be ensured (see, for example, Standard SIA 382/1 "Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems - General Principles and Requirements", Edition 2014).
