§ 7 Salary Ordinance for State Personnel (BVO) - Wage Components and Trend Curve
§ 7 BVO · Wage Components and Trend Curve
1. The salary within a salary grade is derived from the following three salary components
a. The functional component takes into account the basic requirements of the function. It corresponds to the minimum wage of the salary grade.
b. * The experience component considers the applicable experience of the employee. There are 15 progressively increasing experience levels. One level represents the average applicable experience of one year. For the assessment of the employee's growth in experience, the experience levels can be divided into half levels. The deviation from the average experience growth typical for the function is decisive. The Personnel Department issues directives on this.
c. * The performance component considers the performance of the employee. Performance is assessed in accordance with §§ 62 ff. of the Personnel Ordinance.
2. A trend curve is established for each salary grade, which shows the salary for good performance and corresponding experience. It progresses progressively between 111 percent of the minimum value of the salary grade at experience level 0 and 90 percent of the maximum value of the salary grade at experience level 15.
3. The trend curve serves as a basis for the determination and development of the salary. No direct salary claims can be derived from it.
