ACT No. XXXIX of 1981

AN ACT further to amend the Import Duties Act, 1976.

BE IT ENACTED by the President, by and with the advice and

consent of the House of Representatives, in this present Parliament

assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

Short title

Art. 1 — ACT No. XXXIX of 1981 AN ACT further to amend the Import Duties Act, 1976. Official ↗

(l) This Act may be cited as the Import Duties (Amendment)

and

(No. 3) Act, 1981. and shall be read and construed as one with the

commencement.

Import Duties Act, 1976, hereinafter refelTed to as "the principal Act".

This Act shall have effect as from the 1st day of Septem

(Section 2)

Heading number 22.05 shall be amended as follows

l.

(a) for the figures "t:M1l2.00.0" in the second column and "t:Mll1.75.0" in

the third column in respect of item ( A) thereof there shall be substituted the figures

"t:MI24.00,0" and "t:M123.75,0" respectively; and

(b) for the figures "t:Ml14.00,0" in the second column and "t:MI13.75.0" in

the third column in respect of sub-item ( l) of item (B) thereof, there shall be

substituted the figures "t:MI26.00,0" and "t:M125.75,0" respectively, and for the

figures "t:M139.00,0" in the second colunm and "t:M138.75,0" in the third column

in respect of sub-item (2) of item (B) thereof, there shall be substituted the figures

"t:M151.00,O" and "t:MI50.75,O" respectively.

2. Heading number 22.06 shall be amended as follows

(a) for the figures "fM79.00.0" in the second column and "f:M78.75.0" in

the third column in respect of item (A) thereof. there shall be substituted the

figures "fM89.00.0" and fM88.75.0" respectively; and

(b) for the figures "f:M81.00.0" in the second column and f:M80.75.0" in the

third column in respect of item (8) thereof. there shall be substituted the figures

"f:M91.00,0" and "f:M90.75,0" respectively,

For heading number 70.13 and for the figures in respect thereof in the second

and third columns there shall be substituted respectively the heading shown in the first

column and the relative figures shown in the second and third columns hereunder
