ACT No. XXIII of 1981

AN ACT to amend the Commissioners for lustice Act, 1981.

BE IT ENACTED by the President, by and with the advice and

consent of the House of Representatives, in this present Parliament

assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

This Act may be cited as the Commissioners for Justice

(Amendment) Act, 1981, and shall be read and construed as one with

the Commissioners for Justice Act, 1981, hereinafter referred to as "the

principal Act".

In section 3 of the principal Act, for the words "subsection (3)

section 3 of the of section 8" wherever they occur, there shall be substituted in each case

the words "subsection (2) of section 8".

The proviso to section 6 of the principal Act shall be amended

as follows

(a) in the English text thereof, for the words "subsection (5)

of section 5 of this Act" there shaH be substituted the words "sub­

section (4) of section 5 of this Act"; and

(b)

in the Maltese text thereof, for the words "s-subartikolu

(5) ta' dan l-Att" there shall be substituted the words "s-subartikolu

(4) ta' l-artikolu 5 ta' dan l-Att",

In subsection (4) of section 8 of the principal Act, for the words Amendment of

"subsection (3) of this section" there shall be substituted the words s�ti�n 8 of the

pnnclpal Act.

"subsection (2) of this section".
