Art. 38 Constitution of the Canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden, (1872) In each district, there is a conciliation office. The district assembly appoints the head of this office. The organization, management of the office, and the functions of the conciliator as a judicial body are determined by legislation.

In jedem Bezirk besteht je ein Vermittleramt. Die Bezirksgemeinde wählt einen Vermittler. Das Nähere über Organisation, Geschäftsführung und Funktion des Vermittlers als Organ der Rechtspflege wird durch die Gesetzgebung bestimmt.
