§ 76 Constitution of the Canton of Basel-Country, (1984) - Direction and Administration The State Council is at the head of the cantonal administration. It exercises oversight over other institutions that undertake public tasks. It ensures that the administration acts in accordance with the law and in an efficient manner and determines, within the limits of the Constitution and laws, the proper organization of the administration. It decides, to the extent provided by law, on administrative appeals. It does not apply legislative acts that are contrary to federal law, cantonal constitutional law, or cantonal laws.
§ 76 1984 — Leitung und Verwaltung
Der Regierungsrat steht der kantonalen Verwaltung vor. Er beaufsichtigt die anderen Träger öffentlicher Aufgaben.
Er sorgt für eine rechtmässige und wirksame Verwaltungstätigkeit und bestimmt im Rahmen von Verfassung und Gesetz die zweckmässige Organisation.
Er entscheidet nach Massgabe des Gesetzes über Verwaltungsbeschwerden.
Er versagt Erlassen die Anwendung, wenn sie dem Bundesrecht oder kantonalem Verfassungs- oder Gesetzesrecht widersprechen.
