§ 27 Constitution of the Canton of Basel-Country, (1984) - Electoral System The Grand Council and the general councils are elected according to the system of proportional representation. For all other authorities, the majority system is applied unless the municipal regulations prescribe the system of proportional representation.
§ 27 1984 — Wahlverfahren
Der Landrat und die Einwohnerräte werden nach dem Verhältniswahlverfahren gewählt.
Für alle anderen Behörden gilt das Mehrheitswahlverfahren, sofern die Gemeindeordnung nicht das Verhältniswahlverfahren vorschreibt.
