§ 21 Constitution of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft, (1984) - Conditions The right to vote is guaranteed. Every person who has Swiss nationality, is at least 18 years old, has their political domicile in the canton of Basel-Landschaft, and is not prohibited due to mental illness or weakness of mind, has the right to vote. The law regulates the voting rights of Swiss citizens abroad and in the municipal corporations.
§ 21 1984 — Voraussetzungen
Das Stimmrecht ist gewährleistet.
Stimmberechtigt ist, wer das Schweizer Bürgerrecht besitzt, das 18. Altersjahr zurückgelegt hat, im Kanton Basel-Landschaft politischen Wohnsitz hat und nicht wegen Geisteskrankheit oder Geistesschwäche entmündigt ist.
Das Stimmrecht der Auslandschweizer und die Stimmberechtigung in den Bürgergemeinden werden durch das Gesetz geregelt.
