§ 146 Constitution of the Canton of Basel-Stadt, (2005) The new provisions governing incompatibilities (§ 71, para. 2), incompatibilities between relatives and in-laws (§ 72), the president of the Government, and the creation of a presidential department (§ 111) must be adopted in due time to be applicable to the new legislature. The Council of State shall issue the required provisions by ordinance if they could not be adopted in due time within the framework of the ordinary or urgent legislative procedure to be able to come into effect before the start of the electoral process. These provisions shall be replaced without delay according to the ordinary procedure.

§ 146 2005
