§ 128 Constitution of the Canton of Basel-Stadt, (2005) Every person domiciled in the canton is a member of the Church or the publicly recognized religious community corresponding to their confession or religion if they satisfy the conditions stipulated by the constitution of their Church or religious community. Withdrawal from the Church or religious community is possible at any time by written declaration. The conditions under which the right to vote and eligibility is granted are defined in the constitutions of the Churches and publicly recognized religious communities.
§ 128 2005
Jede Person, die im Kanton wohnt, gehört der öffentlichrechtlich anerkannten Kirche oder Religionsgemeinschaft ihrer Konfession oder Religion an, wenn sie die in deren Verfassung genannten Voraussetzungen erfüllt.
Der Austritt ist jederzeit mit schriftlicher Erklärung möglich.
Die Verfassungen der öffentlichrechtlich anerkannten Kirchen und Religionsgemeinschaften ordnen die Voraussetzungen des Stimm- und Wahlrechtes.
