BE IT ENACTED by the President, by and with the advice and

consent of the House of Representatives, in this present Parliament

assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:-

This Act may be cited as the Eurocontrol Short title and

(1)

(Amendment) Act 1997 and shall be read and construed as one with

the Eurocontrol Act, hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act".

(2)

This Act shall be deemed to have entered into force

on the 1st January, 1995.

In subsection (4) of section 6 of the principal Act Am~ndmentof

immediately after the words "the charges were due but unpaid" there of the principal Act.

shall be inserted the words", which interest may, notwithstanding

any other law, be at a rate higher than 8 per centum per annum as

may be determined by such international agreement in respect of

the period during which the charges were so due but unpaid,".
